How well are you protecting one of your most important assets—your mind?
Join the EMPOWER Series for an engaging and practical workshop, Master Your Mind: Focus, Memory & Brain Health, featuring Amber Kidwai, PhD candidate in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Center for Vital Longevity at UT Dallas.
Last year, we explored how the brain changes as we age and the everyday habits that can help support lifelong brain health. This year, we’re continuing the conversation with a deeper look at focus, memory, cognition and mental resilience—and what the latest research can teach us about keeping our minds healthy and functioning at their best throughout life.
Amber is also the podcast co-host of last year’s EMPOWER Series presenter, Sarah Monier, continuing our partnership with the Center for Vital Longevity and bringing another perspective from the next generation of cognitive neuroscience researchers.
What You’ll Explore
During this interactive workshop, we’ll discuss:
🧠 Memory & the Brain — Understand how memory works and how changes in the brain can affect the way we remember and process information.
🎯 Strengthening Your Focus — Explore factors that influence attention and learn practical ways to reduce distractions and improve concentration.
💡 Supporting Cognitive Health — Learn what research tells us about habits and behaviors that may help protect brain health throughout life.
💪 Supporting Brain Health — Explore practical ways to support brain function, stay mentally engaged and build healthy habits that promote cognitive well-being throughout life.
🔬 Turning Science Into Everyday Action — Take research out of the laboratory and translate it into practical strategies you can use in your daily life.
Meet Our Guest Speaker: Amber Kidwai
Amber Kidwai is a PhD candidate in the Cognitive Neuroscience program at the Center for Vital Longevity at UT Dallas. Her research investigates the cognitive and neural mechanisms that support memory, with a particular focus on how age-related changes in brain structure and function affect cognition.
In addition to her research, Amber co-hosts The Neuro Logic Podcast, where she interviews leading scientists and translates cutting-edge research into practical strategies for maintaining cognitive health throughout life.
The Learning Doesn’t End on August 15
The EMPOWER Series is designed to help you do more than simply hear great information—we want to help you put it into action.
Following the workshop, attendees will be invited to participate in our 90-Day Ideas in Action Series, consisting of three monthly virtual follow-up conversations. These sessions are designed to help you:
- Remember and reinforce key ideas from the workshop
- Identify actions you want to implement
- Share your progress and challenges
- Ask follow-up questions
- Stay encouraged and accountable over the next 90 days
Our goal is simple: Learn it. Apply it. Live it.
